The warmest welcome awaits you at our lovely home. Built in 1860, The School House was recently restored to its former glory to provide spacious, relaxing accommodation for those who enjoy their comforts.

 
With beautiful views of the Swale Valley, The School House is directly on Wainwright's famous 'Coast to Coast' walk, the Herriot Way and the Inn Way, making it an ideal stop for walkers, cyclists, or those just who just want to stand and stare.

All our rooms are decorated in a contemporary style, yet reflect the house's unique architectural features.  The bedrooms are furnished to the highest quality for your comfort.

Our twin en-suite bedroom has a bath as well as shower, and overlooks the rear garden and fields beyond.

The Breakfast Room

 

Guests can enjoy their freshly cooked breakfast in our dining room.  Peter prepares your breakfast while you enjoy fresh fruit and cereals of your choice.  If you don't feel like the full English, smoked salmon, bagels and croissants are always available.  Just tell the chef!
